My Story
The heart of mission is the transformation of hearts. God is glorified when people experience true and profound freedom unlike anything they’ve ever known before. Over and over in my life, God’s grace has been made present to me through intentional community. Others have been an example to me of freedom, encouraged me in the midst of doubt, and walked by my side in times of sorrow. I’ve been left utterly convinced of the necessity of deep community life for transformative and sustained conversion. Paradigm is deeply involved in fostering this kind of community, so I’m thrilled to be part of the Lord working in the hearts of our students just as He’s worked in mine.
Until this year, I’ve been a full-time electrical and computer engineer. The Lord has given me a heart for mission and ministry, but I’ve been very comfortable doing that as a part-time volunteer. This summer, the Lord invited me to step away from that to become a Paradigm missionary and pursue mission in a more full way. It’s a bit of a scary change, but I’m convinced that God’s invitations always lead to more full life. God has incredible abundance in store for me and for San Diego and I can’t wait to be a part of it.
